When you come upstairs, be prepared to experience a musical journey from the 1960s up until the 1990s. Our Balearic and eclectic world music is specially curated by local artists, offering something for everyone! While writing this I'm listening to The Funkees' "Akula Owu Onyeara" — an amazing Nigerian afro-rock group formed back in 1960.
As far as events go, our regular Hoxton Cabin lineup of Comedy by Comedy Cabin is second to none. Each day we welcome performance artists, musicians and DJs alike through our doors along with impressive works from established and upcoming artisans that adorn the walls. Our exhibitions are regularly held here making it a must-see hot spot!
Since 2017, Hoxton Cabin has been the epicentre of East London. Every part of this bar is loaded with stories—from its hand-crafted design to the wood that was touched by those who believed in our vision, such as friends and family members, neighbours and even strangers.
Our team is a vibrant mix of different cultures from around the world but based in East London. Uncle Paulo, our caretaker and an East Londoner originally from Portugal, heads up this multicultural group of people hailing from the Dominican Republic to Italy, Islington to Hackney and Scotland - truly resembling a United Nations version of East London!
